1. Payment

The students are enrolled upon the course and the course is confirmed once the booking form has been returned to and received by Savills ( and payment in full has been received. Payment is requested to be via bank transfer or credit card (as detailed on the invoice sent to you after the completed booking form has been received). The signing of the booking form by the organiser, employer or employer’s representative (e.g. Manager) indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions. At this point Savills will also require a list of the names of all the students who will be attending the training course. All data is securely held by Savills and will be treated confidentially and with the utmost care and respect. Savills is keen to strike a fair balance between your personal privacy and ensuring that you obtain full value from the products and services it provides, whilst ensuring that it complies with all protection that the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act”) affords to you.

If appropriate, any expenses are to be met by the organiser of the training course on behalf of Savills (travel, accommodation etc.) This will be arranged by the course organizer in close liaison with Savills to ensure that anything booked is relevant and convenient.

2. Attendance

Students are required to attend all dates of their course, if students fail to attend any part of their course for any reason, or if there is a reduction in the number of students able to attend the course, Savills will not offer refunds. Course times are from 11am to 5pm each day, unless you are notified or it is agreed otherwise.

It is essential that students are punctual and attend all of the course dates, if they fail to attend certain dates or are late, we will not offer any alternative dates or provide ‘catch up’ sessions. It is the responsibility of the manager or course organizer to ensure that all delegates attending courses have sufficient experience of barbering in order for them to gain fully from the learning experience.

3. Cancellations

All cancellations must be in writing. In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel the course please notify us in writing (email or signed for letter) as soon as possible. Payments already made are not refundable. Depending upon the circumstances, a discretionary decision may be made to re-arrange the course to take place on a later mutually agreed date.
Savills reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Should Savills be forced to cancel the course, as much notice as possible will be given to students and an alternative date will be offered.

4. General

Students will practice on models secured by the employer/course organiser and their students and who are attracted to the opportunity by the strong reputation of Savills. Savills will liaise with the employer with regards to the specifics of the models needed to ensure that the models are suitable for the course training requirements. It is expected that students maintain a high standard of personal presentation at all times and demonstrate an exceptional level of customer service towards their models. Savills cannot be held responsible in the event of the models not keeping appointments, being unsuitable for the training requirements or cancelling.

A list of tools required for the course workshops will be provided prior to the start of the course, it is essential that students ensure that they have these tools before attending the course. The purchase and sourcing of this kit is the student’s and/or employer’s responsibility. Savills will not accept responsibility if a student cannot participate in some of the course content as a result of not having the correct tools.

Any misuse of equipment or lack of care resulting in damage to any Savills property or equipment that is used in the training day(s) will be charged to you accordingly.
It is the employer’s responsibility to inform us at the time of booking of any students with language difficulties, learning difficulties or a physical disability that may hinder the ability to participate in any element of the training course, or associated activity.
The employer accepts the legal risk in respect of public and employee liability insurance and will therefore ensures that the necessary cover is in place. The employer will be responsible for providing any personal safety equipment required by their employees that may be necessary when attending the course
Theft, rudeness, disruption of the course or failure to uphold standards will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of the students attendance of the course at the trainer’s discretion. If this is the case, no refund will be given.

If a student fails to meet the standards expected upon the completion of the course, Savills reserves the right to withhold the accompanying certificate or diploma. Any further training that may be required by the student in order to attain the required standard will attract further tuition fees at the discretion of the course tutor.
Course notes and reference materials may be provided to support students in their studies and are issued for personal use only.  A lot of work had gone into the development of our course content and it has a commercial value.  The sharing and recording of course materials and content by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, Internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited.  If in doubt about what is and isn’t acceptable usage please speak with us.

No applicant or student receives less favourable treatment on grounds sex, age, race, colour, nationality, ethnic, or national origins, disability, political or religious belief.
All students must behave in a manner that adheres to health and safety regulations, equality and anti-discriminatory legislation and respects data protection and confidentiality.
Savills Academy cannot be held responsible for any inaccurate interpretation of instruction or training received and/or subsequent incorrect/unsafe actions carried out by any person in the workplace in a seminar on during a workshop. Furthermore Savills Academy will not be held liable for any breach of statutory regulations, HSE guidance notes or Approved Codes of Practice on the part of any person or persons.

Savills reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. If this occurs, the new T’s & C’s will be published on at the earliest opportunity and will apply to the next enrolled course.
